Dixon Stewart Solicitors are pleased to welcome Anita Whelan to their New Milton office to head up their private client department. Anita will deal with issues affecting older clients ranging from wills, probate, powers of attorney and deputyship applications to nursing home contracts and funding nursing home fees.

Anita has relocated to the area from Wiltshire to be closer to her family. She had previously worked in the New Forest and Hampshire area and she has many friends and contacts here.

Anita is a qualified Legal Executive and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly. Solicitors for the Elderly is an independent national organisation of lawyers who provide specialist legal advice for the elderly, vulnerable, their families and their carers. Anita helped set up one of their local branches and is actively involved in their training courses. Not only has she gained significant experience in this area of law but she has also undergone a unique qualification focussing on additional skills to enable her to work with older and vulnerable people. She holds an Older Client Care Practice Award.

We know she will fit in well at Dixon Stewart as she is an animal lover like all of us and her dog Robbie is a regular visitor to the office.
