Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive

We are a busy firm of Solicitors providing legal services in and around the New Forest and are looking for a full time person with 5+ years PQE to join our Wills and Probate Team.

Your work will consist of the following:

  • Managing an existing mixed caseload of Wills, LPAs and Probate work.
  • Providing support to the clients making Wills and LPAs and to Executors dealing with administration of estates to support them at this difficult time.

Private Client Secretary

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join the Private Client department within our Highcliffe office.
The Private Client team deals with a range of areas including: Will drafting, Probate/Estate administration, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection/Deputyship.
The chosen candidate will need to be someone who is familiar with all the processes and procedures associated with the Private Client department and can start assisting from day one.
This role will be to assist fee earners in their day-to-day work by providing support and an efficient secretarial and administrative service within the Private client department.
Providing full secretarial support including;
• Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
• Drafting of basic Wills, LPAs and Court of Protection applications.
• Completion of forms relating to tax i.e., Inheritance Tax.
• Production of attendance notes.
• Support fee earners in marketing activities.
• General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning.
• Meeting and greeting clients.
• Handling telephone enquiries and directing accordingly.
• Arranging meeting room bookings.

Desired skills and experience;
• Legal Secretary experience essential within Private Client – at least 6 months.
• Fast, accurate typing ability.
• Experience of using case management system.
• IT literate – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Case Management

Office Junior 

We are looking for an office junior for our New Milton office.

The main purpose of the role is to assist in the smooth running of the practice by providing a range of support services within the general office function.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Open the post in the mornings.
• Scan post onto the case management system
• Carry out photocopying required by other members of staff
• File retrieval and assisting the archivist
• Distribute mail to various fee earners which arrives into reception
• All filing when asked
• Order stationery when needed and kitchen supplies when needed.
• Cover receptionist’s lunch break and comfort breaks and other times when asked. Also, to cover receptionist at our Highcliffe office if needed.
• Envelope and frank post. Hand deliver post to local businesses.
